For trail-side stops and evenings by the campfire, the short is trimmed with dual side hand pockets, and to the right and slightly to the rear, an extra zippered pocket to stow a smartphone, light snacks, or even a folded map. Whether you need extra space or like to keep the essentials close at hand, the position of the zippered pocket allows for unrestricted pedaling and a barely-there feeling even over the most demanding trails. Clean-finish laminated hems ensure smooth moves with every turn of the cranks, while reinforced crotch seams better resist the rough and tumble of the trail. Like our high-end Laalalai Shorts, they’re cut from Type.439 Diadema, a fabric chosen for its exceptional stretch, high-wicking, and compressive capabilities. Wind-tunnel tested and using our aerodynamic Fenomeno1 design, these are our some of our fastest women’s cycling shorts yet. The precise fit comes down to the waistband design, where we applied our breathable, ultrasoft Aerofit material at the front, using a fold-over construction that comfortably holds the shorts in place across the abdominals. We did the same at the lower legs, adding a secure, stay-put fit with an asymmetrical hold on the thighs. Compared to our Laalalai shorts, these are 2.5cm shorter in length.
